Upper Limb Surgery
Andrew was appointed as a Consultant Shoulder & Elbow surgeon at Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals in 2007. He graduated with a first class degree from Oxford before completing his medical and surgical training in Cambridge. His orthopaedic surgical experience was gained on the East Anglia training program and he attained the FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics) in 2005. After he had finished his training he spent a fellowship year working with Prof. Tim Bunker in the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital, developing his chosen field of conditions of the shoulder and elbow and sports injuries.
His particular area of interest is arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery of the shoulder and elbow, including management of frozen shoulder, tendon disease in the shoulder and elbow (rotator cuff/tennis elbow) and instability of the shoulder. He also performs joint replacement surgery for arthritis of the shoulder and elbow.
Andrew is a member of the British Elbow & Shoulder Society and the British Orthopaedic Association.
